Double Door and learn the sinister secret that only three women knew!"; based on the play by Elizabeth McFadden; a very strange story of an older lady who mistreats her family terribly; when her sister objects, the lady threatens to return her sister to a mysterious torture chamber located in the basement!) starring Evelyn Venable, Mary Morris, Kent Taylor, Sir Guy Standing, and Anne Revere. Note that Mary Morris was a stage actress who started in 1916. In 1934, she had a big hit with this play, and she was convinced to make the movie version of it, but once filming was done, she returned to the stage, and it is the only movie she ever made. Note that we have seen an image of the one-sheet from this movie, and on that, Evelyn Venable is top billed, but on the pressbook, Mary Morris is top billed, and we don't know why!
