An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Locandina Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 27") (Learn More) Muhammad Ali, the Greatest (released in the U.S. as "Float Like a Butterfly, Sting Like a Bee"), the 1969 William Klein French boxing sports documentary featuring Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay), Sonny Liston, Malcolm X, Jersey Joe Walcott, Stepin Fetchit, George Foreman, Don King, Joe Frazier, and rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) music group The Beatles (George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr). Note that this documentary includes great early footage of young Muhammad Ali at his training camp and visited by The Beatles (five of the most legendary people ever at one time!). Also note that while this movie was made in France and was apparently released in the U.S. and several other countries, the ONLY movie posters we have ever auctioned from it were ones made in Italy, and even those are exceptionally rare (we have only auctioned one of each type). Artist: Avelli Important Added Info: Note that this Italian locandina measures approximately 13" x 27" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).
