The Moon Is Blue, the 1953 Otto Preminger romantic love triangle comedy ("Let's give credit where credit is due - This Picture Is Based Upon An Idea By Adam for Every Eve!"; "From the sensational stage hit that ran 3 years on Broadway!"; "The Producers of this picture wish to express their thanks to both sexes, male and female, without whose inspiration it might never have been made."; "It's all about what moons and people are made for!"; "The picture everyone is talking about!"; "Let's face it! If there weren't people like them... there wouldn't be people like us!"; "Written for the screen by F. Hugh Herbert"; this film was notorious for its frankness at the time, including the use of the word "virgin") starring William Holden, David Niven, Maggie McNamara (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Tom Tully, Dawn Addams, Fortunio Bonanova, and Gregory Ratoff

Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a group of 13 sets of stills (which we are auctioning in 13 separate auctions) which we consigned to us from the estate of a man who was in the movie business, and he was given a number of candid publicity stills from movies he worked on, and quite a few of them show images of theater fronts or theater lobbies with special promotions they did for the openings of the movie and there are also a few showing stars or crew being interviewed at the openings! Such stills are FAR more rare than regular studio stills, and they are almost never offered for sale. Many of these stills have snipes or printing on the back describing them.

Condition: very good to fine.
