An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Betty Grable was an actress from the 1930s to the 1950s, often appearing in romantic musicals. Some of her movies include: Million Dollar Legs, Tin Pan Alley, Moon Over Miami, and Down Argentine Way. She is perhaps best remembered for her famous sexy legs, and one of her pin-up images, which was one of the absolute most popular ones displayed by soldiers during World War II (at one time, her legs were insured for $1,000,000 by Lloyds of London!). She was married to actor Jackie Coogan, and then later to bandleader Harry James (with whom she had two children). She passed away in 1973 at the age of 56 from lung cancer. Important Added Info: There is an RKO photographer's credit for "Emmett Schoenbaum" stamped on the back of this still. Note that on this still there is a printed paper snipe attached to the back describing the scene on the front. NOTE: In this case, the #1 in the title of the sale is not the number of the still. Because we are selling more than one still from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..". Condition: good. top right corner has paper loss; a crease extending into Grable's cheek, but it is truly only noticeable when the still is turned to the light; other than the above, the still is in quite nice condition!
