An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Other Company Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) The Roaring Twenties, the classic 1939 Raoul Walsh New York City post-World War I (WWI) Prohibition romantic love triangle organized-crime bootlegger gangster melodrama (based on the story 'The World Moves On' by Mark Hellinger; about three men who get out of the army after World War I, and two of them go into the bootlegging business, and they achieve great success, and one of them has an unrequited love for a woman!) starring James Cagney, Priscilla Lane, Humphrey Bogart, Gladys George, Jeffrey Lynn, Frank McHugh, Paul Kelly, and Al Hill NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that from roughly 1936 to roughly 1941 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts and half-sheets) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! This poster is undated, but it would seem that it is certainly from 1939, both because the "other company" went out of business soon after that, and also because Bogart has inferior third billing and is not pictured, which he likely would not have had on a 1940s re-release! Also note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
