An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) James Oliver Curwood's The Yellow-Back, the 1929 Jerome Storm silent Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Mountie romantic melodrama ("By the world's greatest author of outdoor stories"; "James Oliver Curwood's Overwhelming Northwoods Thriller!", about a fur trapper who kills a man in a bar fight and is then pursued by the Mounted Policemen, his fiancee helps him escape, but the trapper kills her father and she helps the Mounted Police catch him!) starring Tom Moore, Irma Harrison, Tom Stantschi, William Martin, and Lionel Belmore. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: good. The insert is in lesser condition. it has creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (with much paper loss at lower left and a few larger tears at lower right). Some of the tears have been repaired with tape from the back. It has many scuff marks scattered throughout and there is some surface paper loss at lower right in the blue area that has been touched up with paint (see our image). Some areas of the poster have slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture (somewhat more noticeable on back). The poster is in urgent need of restoration, and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
