An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

King Solomon's Mines, the 1937 Robert Stevenson English Africa jungle adventure thriller ("Adapted from the famous Sir Rider Haggard novel"; "It's actually greater than 'Count of Monte Cristo'") starring Cedric Hardwicke, Anna Lee, Paul Robeson (legendary black African American actor, singer, and athlete, who became disenchanted with Hollywood and the U.S. over racism), Roland Young, and John Loder. Note that the great Paul Robeson does not appear on much of the advertising for this movie, no doubt due to the prejudices of the time, which is sad.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this lobby card, and that was 11 years ago. That card has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of this card we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. The card has faint darkening in the top edge of the top blank border and a faint scuff mark in the bottom left corner. It has a faint scuff line in the top right corner. Other than the above, the card is in really nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
