An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20" x 28 1/2") (Learn More) Paris Canaille (realesed in the U.S. in 1957 as "Maid in Paris"), the 1956 Pierre Gaspard-Huit French sexploitation romantic comedy ("A bedtime story for adults"; "When she arrived in Paris, the mademoiselle received detailed instructions from the madame on the Place Pigalle."; "...then she let the handsome policeman capture her right in his own bathroom..."; "...which made it easy to wiggle her way into his pajamas..."; "...and in the strip-tease contest she even showed the Montmartre professionals a thing or two!"; "Parbleu! Never had a 19-year-old mademoiselle taught a police officer how nice vice can be!"; "and so Paris made the maid... who loved happily ever after!"; about a beautiful young French girl who travels from a small town to Paris to find a better life) starring Daniel Gelin, Dany Robin, Tilda Thamar, Mary Marquet, and Marie Daems NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster was lightly tri-folded. There were three small tears in the top border, a scuff mark in the cheek of the girl in the bath tub, and a few faint scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
