Original Vintage Theatrical Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2") (Learn More) Such Men Are Dangerous, the 1930 Kenneth Hawks (younger brother of director Howard Hawks!) romantic plastic surgery melodrama ("Elinor Glyn's First Movietone Melodrama"; "Adaptation and dialog by Ernest Vajda"; from the novel by Elinor Glyn) starring Warner Baxter, Catherine Dale Owen, Albert Conti, Hedda Hopper, Claud Allister, and Bela Lugosi. Note that director Kenneth Hawks was a World War I veteran and graduated from Yale, and he seemed to have an incredibly bright future when he was signed to director for Fox Films, three years after his brother Howard started directing. He married Mary Astor in 1928, and he directed this movie and two others, but on January 2, 1930, he was killed in a plane crash during the filming of this movie, and that left Mary Astor a widow, and the studio completed the movie and released it in March, two months after his passing.
