She had four kids by the time she was 20. She's been hungry and poor. She's been loved and cheated on. She became a singer because it was the only thing she could do. She became a star because it was the only way she could do it."; "She wanted a wedding ring. He gave her a guitar. Their lives were never the same again."; "Based on the autobiography by Loretta Lynn with George Vecsey"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about the famous country western singer who married as a young teenager and had several children first before rocketing to stardom) starring Sissy Spacek (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Loretta Lynn; she sang all of her own songs!), Tommy Lee Jones (as Mooney Lynn), Beverly D'Angelo (as Patsy Cline), Levon Helm (as Ted Webb, Lynn's father), and Bill Anderson Jr. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fine. There are faint minor creases in the foldlines and borders. There is a 1/2" tear in the center of the top border.. Note that this poster (and 54 other posters we are selling separately on eBay this week) came directly from a man who worked at Universal from the 1960s to the 1980s. These posters were NEVER used in theaters, but were given to the owner as samples straight from the printer! That is why this group of posters contains many rare advance and "foreign" one-sheets, some of which may never have actually ended up going to theaters.
