An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Mark of Zorro, the 1920 Fred Niblo silent south-of-the-border masked-hero western adventure thriller ("From the 'All Story Weekly' novel 'The Curse of Capistrano' by Johnston McCulley") starring Douglas Fairbanks (in the title role as Zorro), Marguerite De La Motte, Robert McKim, Noah Beery Sr., Charles Hill Mailes, and Claire McDowell. It is interesting to note that this was the very first Zorro movie ever, and that Zorro, created in a pulp story in 1919, was the very first masked superhero ever! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two example of this title card, and only one in the last 18 years! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There are creases and a few tears around the edges, with paper loss in the bottom right blank corner and pinholes in the other corners. There are faint smudges and stains scattered throughout the card. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card before placing a bid.
