An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Road House, the 1948 Jean Negulesco romantic love triangle crime film noir ("Story by Margaret Gruen and Oscar Saul"; "Screen Play by Edward Chodorov"; about the owner of a road house/bowling alley who is in love with his singer, but she loves the manager of the road house, and the owner frames the manager and has him released in his custody, then does all he can to stop their romance!) starring Ida Lupino, Cornel Wilde, Celeste Holm (in her fifth movie role!), Richard Widmark, O.Z. Whitehead, Robert Karnes, George Beranger, Ian MacDonald, and Grandon Rhodes NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. The poster is in much lesser condition. There are several defects scattered along the edges and foldlines/crossfolds and there are several significant areas of foldline and/or crossfold separation. Many of the defects have been repaired with tape from the back that may bleed through to the front. There is light rippling and slight discoloration scattered in portions of the poster. The poster is in need of restoration. Certainly a top restorer can repair the defects described above, and after, the poster will display really well, but please bear in mind the poster's many defects and the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
