An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 37" [69 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) Amor de la Calle (literally translates to "Love of the Street"), the 1950 Ernesto Cortazar Mexican romantic melodrama (a man hires a girl and her brother to work in his sandwich shop to keep her from a lecher, but then man gets murdered and the shop owner is falsely accused!) starring Mercedes Barba, Fernando Fernandez, Fredy Fernandez, Manolo Hernandez, Tona la Negra, and Los Panchos. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Jose Espert Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Mexican poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: fair. The poster has scuff marks, scratches tears and some paper loss in the face of the star at upper center (see our image). It has some slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture. This Mexican poster is somewhat fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great).
