An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Night of Love, the 1927 George Fitzmaurice silent romantic love triangle action adventure melodrama ("Most glorious of all screen romances"; "From an Original Story by Lenore Coffee"; about a gypsy prince who is getting married, and on his wedding night, a Duke abducts his bride to rape her, but she kills herself instead; the gypsy swears vengeance on the Duke, and when the Duke is married, he kidnaps the new Duchess intending to rape her, but he can't bring himself to do it, and the two fall in love) starring Ronald Colman, Vilma Banky, Montagu Love, Natalie Kingston, John George, and Sally Rand (as a gypsy dancer!). Note that Sally Rand is well known even today as a stripper who did an incredibly risque (for the times) "fan dance" in the 1930s. But few know that she appeared in a number of movies in the 1920s, and movie paper from those movies is incredibly rare. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
