An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Japanese "B1" Movie Poster (29x41; measures approximately 28 1/2" x 40 1/2") (Learn More) Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song, the 1971 Melvin Van Peebles black African American blaxploitation crime thriller ("You Bled My Momma - You Bled My Poppa - But You Wont Bleed Me"; "Rated X by an all-white jury"; considered to be the first 'blaxploitation' movie as it preceded 'Shaft' by a few months!) starring Melvin Van Peebles (in the title role as Sweetback), Simon Chuckster, Hubert Scales, John Dullaghan, and West Gale. Note that most reference sites refer to this movie's title as being "Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song", but the first release U.S. posters we have seen all refer to it simply as "Sweet Sweetback". It WAS released in some non-U.S. countries under the longer title. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Atzshi Evina Important Added Info: Also note that this is a rare Japanese "B1" poster that measures approximately 28 1/2" x 40 1/2"! "B1" posters are FAR more rare than "B2" posters (which measure approximately 20" x 28 1/2"), and because they are larger (similar in size to a U.S. one-sheet), they are more impressive when displayed on a wall! Condition: fine. The poster is in very nice condition! Also note that there is a small label attached to the back of the poster that has poster designer and some basic movie information on it.
