An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven, the 1963 Roger Corman horror thriller ("The macabre masterpiece of terror!"; "The supreme adventure in terror!"; "The terror began at midnight!"; "'Take thy beak from out my heart... And take thy form from off my door... Quoth The Raven: 'Nevermore' --Poe"; based on the poem by Edgar Allan Poe; with a screenplay by Richard Matheson) starring Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Hazel Court, Olive Sturgess, Jack Nicholson (in an early role), William Baskin, Aaron Saxon, and Dick Johnstone NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Reynold Brown Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good. There are diagonal creases in the corners extending into the edges of the image. There were pinholes and smudges around the edges of the poster. There were a few pinholes and smudges down the vertical foldline. Other than the above defects, the poster was in nice condition prior to the linenbacking. The person who restored the poster did not do a lot of restoration, but the few minor defects that are somewhat noticeable are not distracting. Learn More about condition grades
