An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Stewart Edward White's Wild Geese Calling, the 1941 John Brahm Seattle Washington Alaska romantic love triangle melodrama (based on the novel by Stewart Edward White; about a man who works in Seattle with an old friend, and unknowingly, he falls for the man's former girlfriend, and later, after all three move to Alaska, he learns of their prior involvement, which causes trouble) starring Henry Fonda, Joan Bennett, Warren William, Ona Munson, Barton MacLane, and Iris Adrian. Note that the phrase "wild geese calling" is similar to "a rolling stone gathers no moss", which refers to someone who "moves on" at the drop of a hat (or every time they hear wild geese in the sky). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had creases and tiny bits of paper loss scattered across the top horizontal fold and in the top quarter of the vertical fold. There was a partial extra vertical fold 1 1/2" to the left of the regular one. There was a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There was diagonal paper loss in the lower right corner that affected the edge of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
