Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Sea Hawk, the 1940 Michael Curtiz swashbuckling romantic pirate adventure thriller ("Never before so many thrills! Never such adventure, such romance! Sail to high adventure with 'The Robin Hood of the Sea'!"; set in the time of the war between England and Spain, and the English navy has had no success against the Spanish armada, and in desperation, Queen Elizabeth hires a buccaneer to see what he can do, and of course, he has much success!) starring Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I), Alan Hale Sr., and Henry Daniell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: fair to good. there was paper loss in all four corners (in the top corners extending into the image), and also some paper loss in the middle of the left of the card and a small area in Flynn's right leg; someone mounted the card on a light board and then replaced the missing paper; they also did touch-up to all the borders, but somewhat crudely; one can still see border defects and there is some scuffing within the title area card has darkened somewhat (typical of Warner Bros. linen cards of this period); This card clearly had its problems and it has had restoration, which is very noticeable close up. But from any distance away, the defects are diminished and this rare card looks pretty good! Learn More about condition grades
