An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (measures approximately 23" x 32") (Learn More) Le Journal d'une Femme de Chambre (released in the U.S. in 1965 as "Luis Bunuel's The Diary of a Chambermaid"), the 1964 Luis Bunuel French/Italian romantic crime thriller ("Based on a novel by Octave Mirbeau"; "The magnificent Jeanne Moreau in a story of social protest and sexual obsession - in a film that couldn't be more BUNUEL!") starring Jeanne Moreau, Georges Geret, Daniel Ivernel, Francoise Lugagne, Marguerite Muni (billed as "Muni"), Jean Ozenne, and Michel Piccoli NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: J. Palka Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster was folded once in each direction and there was minor wear on the horizontal fold, and the poster had very minor border defects.
