Note that fantasy artist H.R. Giger did the wonderful art that was used to create the alien and the alien planet, but his art was not used on any of the regular posters, only on special prints created after the movie became a hit! The poster has some fine surface paper loss along portions of some foldlines (especially along the upper and lower horizontal folds) and those areas have been partially touched up with black marker that is visible from the back.
