An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Rin Tin Tin is the most famous dog canine star ever! This German Shepherd was rescued in France at the end of World War I by U.S. Air Corporal Lee Duncan. He made his first movie in 1923, and by 1926, he was Warner Bros.' #1 star, and he made a total of 28 movies. He passed away in 1932 at the age of 13. One of his sons was quickly dubbed "Rin Tin Tin, Jr." and he starred in a number of films, but he was not the equal of his famous father. Rin Tin Tin was the most successful canine star of all time!
Important Added Info: Note that this still has a stamp on the back that reads "JAMES CARD COLLECTION". James Card was a film preservationist who, starting in 1948, worked at the newly created George Eastman House in Rochester, New York, and he helped build their massive motion picture collection, preserving movies that had been forgotten at that time. In 1955, he discovered that Louise Brooks was living as a recluse in New York City, and he persuaded her to move to Rochester, where she wrote many letters and some books about her legendary career! Also note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from RMY Auctions.

Condition: very good.
