Griffith (billed as "E. H. Griffith") silent romantic feminist melodrama ("From the Saturday Evening Post story by Sinclair Lewis, author of 'Main Street'"; about a woman making a solo cross-country road trip, and it contradicted the stereotypes of the time that women were helpless without men!) starring Tom Douglas, Marjorie Seaman, George Pauncefort, Henry G. Sell, and Dorothy Allen. Author Lewis based the main character on his then wife Grace Livingston Hegger (they divorced in 1925). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good. There is a slight partial crack in the bottom center of the back pane, but it is not visible from the front. There is a piece of paper tape on the front of the top of the slide, but it could be fairly easily removed. Learn More about condition grades
