Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Blooming Angel, the 1920 Victor Schertzinger silent romantic love triangle elephant comedy ("By Wallace Irwin"; a fun story of a wild girl who is expelled from college and she marries a young man who becomes a clerk; so she invents a face cream called "Angel Bloom", and because her husband was an orator in college, she rents an elephant to be covered with the cream all over, and have her husband talk about how great it is; but the cream causes the elephant to collapse, and her husband's old girlfriend has them charged with animal cruelty, but fortunately, the elephant recovers and comes to the courthouse window, which not only gets the charges dropped, but also makes them rich from the publicity for Angel Bloom!) starring Madge Kennedy, Pat O'Malley, Margery Wilson, Arthur Housman, and James Robert Chandler. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. As is typical with older glass slides, this slide has no holder, but has black tape around all the edges of the glass (someone partially removed some of the black tape).
