Date Sold 12/21/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) Gamera Tai Daiakuju Giron (released in the U.S. as "Gamera vs. Guiron"), the 1969 Noriaki Yuasa Japanese science fiction (sci-fi) kaiju battling rubbery monsters action horror thriller starring Yuko Hamada, Christopher Murphy, Miyuki Akiyama, Nobuhiro Kajima, and Eiji Funakosi If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the Italian distributors of this movie released it under the title "King Kong vs Godzilla". We have been told by a longtime Italian collector that this was because both King Kong and Godzilla were very well known in Italy at this time, but that Gamera and Guiron would have been completely unknown, so a poster with those names on it would not have attracted patrons to the theater, but this poster would have! However, I can't imagine that anybody watching the movie after going in because of this poster would not have felt incredibly cheated by the false advertising, especially because neither King Kong nor Godzilla were in the movie, and Guiron is a really weird sword-headed dinosaur, and there is no "giant ape" in the movie at all! Condition: fair to good. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this poster prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
