An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release (re-titled "Antics" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Indian Movie Poster (measures 30" x 41 1/2") (Learn More) Saps at Sea, the 1940 Gordon Douglas seafaring sailor screwball comedy (produced by Hal Roach) starring Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy), Charlie Hall, Ben Turpin, Harry Hayden, and Richard Cramer (billed as "Dick Cramer"). Note that this was the last movie that Laurel and Hardy made with Hal Roach. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This Indian poster measures 30" x 41 1/2" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good to fine. Poster had minor creases and some tiny tears on some foldlines, and very tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had very minor smudges and creases throughout, as well as some minor border defects, including pinholes in the corners.
