Adapted from the Superman radio program."; based on the famous DC Comics comic book character) starring Kirk Alyn (in the title role as Superman/Clark Kent), Lyle Talbot (in the title role as Lex Luthor/The Atom Man), Noel Neill (who later repeated her role as Lois Lane in the TV series, after Phyllis Coates left the show), Tommy Bond (as Jimmy Olsen), Pierre Watkin (as Perry White), and Terry Frost. Note that this was the second Superman serial (the first was simply titled "Superman", and was released in 1948, with the same actors as in this serial). Note that this is an untrimmed "test" poster (it has white borders around the edges with printer's marks that were trimmed off when the poster was normally sold). Kirk Alyn would go to collectible shows in the 1960s and 1970s and sell autographed examples of this poster. Our consignor purchased this poster from an elderly woman who said that Alyn and Neill attended her brother's birthday party as a child, and that they presented him with this poster that they both signed. We feel certain that both autographs are authentic. UPDATED 02/06/2013: Note that this poster is from the 1970s and NOT 1950 as we initially listed. Condition: good. There are many creases and scuffs scattered in the top 8" of the poster with a few scattered in the rest of the image. There are tears and tiny paper loss in the lower left white border.
