An Unfolded German Special Poster (measures 33 1/4" x 71 1/4" [84 x 181 cm]) (Learn More) Im Faltboot uber dem Atlantik (literally translates to "In a Folding Boat Over the Atlantic"), the 1931 German advertising poster promoting a story to appear in a Berlin newspaper about Franz Romer, who in 1928 tried to become the first human to cross the Atlantic in a folding boat. However, sadly, he perished in the attempt, so he did not enter the history books. Note that this poster features Linneroyel art of Romer in his boat being tossed around by a wave. Artist: Linneroyel Important Added Info: Note that this special poster was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap. Condition: very good. All three sections were never folded. It has a strip of plastic with holes attached to the back of the right border of each section (no doubt this was done as a way of hanging this poster with others on racks, and being able to easily access any of them). The plastic strips could be removed by a professional or talented amateur, or of course, the excess plastic could simply be trimmed off. Other than the plastic strips, all three sections are in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
