A Folded Czech Advertising Poster (measures 24" x 34" [61 x 86 cm]) (Learn More)

Bahlsen, the 1920s Czechoslovakian advertising poster promoting a seed wholesaler brand to farmers and home gardeners. Note that posters for this company feature information and detailed art of the many types of seed that were available. The company was founded by Arnost Bahlsen and operated from 1878 to 1949. The company ceased to exist as a result of the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'etat in which the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, with Soviet backing, assumed undisputed control over the government of Czechoslovakia.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair. The poster has discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture and really significant creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (see our image). Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
