An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 36 3/4" [69 x 93 cm]) (Learn More) Amor de la Calle (literally translates to "Love of the Street"), the 1950 Ernesto Cortazar Mexican romantic melodrama (a man hires a girl and her brother to work in his sandwich shop to keep her from a lecher, but then man gets murdered and the shop owner is falsely accused!) starring Mercedes Barba, Fernando Fernandez, Fredy Fernandez, Manolo Hernandez, Tona la Negra, and Los Panchos. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Jose Espert Important Added Info: Note that we have previously only auctioned one example of this Mexican poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie, and it sold for $460! Condition: good. The poster has some tiny creases, tears, bits of paper loss and separation along portions of the vertical foldline and left center horizontal fold (see our image). Someone once repaired some of the defects with tape from the back that slightly bled through to the front. It has some light creases scattered in various areas. Fortunately most of the poster is "all there" and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but of course bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
