An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) A California Romance, the 1922 Jerome Storm silent historical romantic melodrama (set in the 1800s; from the story by Jules Furthman) starring John Gilbert, Estelle Taylor, George Siegmann, Jack McDonald, and C.E. Anderson. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Note that John Gilbert was billed as "Jack Gilbert" some of his early movies (but not in this one). He had uncredited roles in 1915 and then had credited roles in 1916, but he still spent the next several years not achieving major stardom. One of his first major roles was in 1922 when he starred in an early version of "The Count of Monte Cristo". Of course, he would become a top star of the mid 1920s, and then he would co-star with a very young Greta Garbo, and the rest, as they say, is history! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
