An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Kid's Clever, the 1929 William James Craft silent inventor car automobile romantic comedy ("Story by Vin Moore"; about a man who invents an "automoboat", a car that can go on land and sea, and he meets a girl whose father manufactures motors, and he tries to get the father to buy his invention) starring Glenn Tryon, Kathryn Crawford, Russell Simpson, Lloyd Whitlock, George Chandler, Joan Standing, Max Asher, Stepin Fetchit, and Stepin Fechit. Note that we found a description of this movie on the Internet that says that he invents a fuelless motor for cars, but we have seen both a herald and a one-sheet that clearly show that what he invents is a car that goes into water, so we suspect that Internet description is just wrong. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and small paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds, with minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
