An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Desperate Journey, the 1942 Raoul Walsh World War II (WWII) military action thriller ("Commandos on the loose!"; "Man alive, just picture this excitement!"; "Bomber crew crash-lands in the heart of Germany! And off they go on a 5-man commando raid to Berlin and back! A screaming, screen-shaking once-in-a-lifetime adventure!"; about an English bomber plane that is shot down over Poland by the Nazis; they make their way through Germany back to England, and they kill many Nazis along the way, but lose a few of their men) starring Errol Flynn, Ronald Reagan, Nancy Coleman, Raymond Massey, Alan Hale Sr., and Arthur Kennedy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from 1942, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. The still was folded horizontally approximately 1" above center. There is faint scuffing scattered throughout the image, but it is mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
