An Original 1948 Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], measures 11" x 17" when unfolded; 4 pages) (Learn More)

My Brother Jonathan, the 1948 (released in the U.S. in 1949) Harold French English romantic war biography melodrama ("Based on the Novel by Frances Brett Young") starring Michael Denison (in the title role as Jonathan Dakers), Ronald Howard, Dulcie Gray ("by arrangement with London Film Prod."), Stephen Murray, Mary Clare, Finlay Currie, Beatrice Campbell, and Arthur Young

Important Added Info: Note that this is a great four-page trade ad taken out of a Kinematograph Weekly English trade magazine (we have a number of them in this set of auctions, and also some one-page English trade ads and a few English brochures). Studios would only rarely run these elaborate 4-page ads in issues of this magazine (usually they were either 1-page or 2-page), and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This 4-page trade ad was removed from a 1948 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall, but of course, they will have to decide which side to display. Note that this is a country of origin item for this English movie.

Condition: very good. The ad was removed from a magazine (see above). It was the centerfold of the magazine so the pages are on a single sheet, and there are staple holes at the spine (see our image).
