An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, the 1959 Mark Robson (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award) China Asia World War II (WWII) military missionary romantic melodrama ("Overpowering in it's story of fire and faith... God and war... And the strangest softest of loves!"; "The love story of the white missionary and the Eurasian soldier under the China sky!"; "What is the 'Sixth Happiness'? Each of us must find it in our own hearts!"; "Based on the Book 'The Small Woman' by Alan Burgess") starring Ingrid Bergman, Curd Jurgens (billed as "Curt Jurgens"), Robert Donat (his career was cut short by severe asthma and a brain tumor; his final line in this movie was "I fear I shall not see you again", which proved to be true, because this was his final film appearance!), Michael David, Athene Seyler, Ronald Squire, Moultrie Kelsall, Richard Wattis, and Peter Chong
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that all film buffs know this was Robert Donat's final film appearance (and he had that prophetic final line in the movie, see above). This still was taken on the last day of filming, and it was used in a London newspaper on the day after he died. Also note that this news photo measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm].

Condition: very good. There are some faint partial creases and a few faint smudges scattered in the photo, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
