An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 29 3/4" [50 x 76 cm]) (Learn More)

V, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster ("INVEST"). Note that this poster was intended for use in the Liberty Loan campaign (some had INVEST below the V). It was sold for $2, which was the first payment on a "$50 victory note", which cost $2 down and $1 a week. You could also purchase $100 victory notes and $500 victory notes at any bank. You were then encouraged to display this poster in your window, showing that you had supported the government and were "a regular American"
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster comes with a very rare 7" x 10" double-sided handout, which has full printed information on both sides explaining how this program worked, and including a coupon in the bottom corner, which could be exchanged with $2 for a $50 victory note.

Condition: good. The poster has creases and tears around the edges, with paper loss scattered in the left border and in the left of the top border. The handout is in nice condition (see our images).
