La Coooperation Inter-Europeenne Pour un Niveau de Vie Plaus Eleve (literally translates to "Inter-European Cooperation for a Higher Standard of Living"), the 1950s Swiss poster promoting the Marshall Plan and featuring a Gottfried Honegger & Warja Lavater design of two hands clasped together. The Marshall Plan (officially the European Recovery Program, ERP) was an American initiative passed in 1948 to aid Western Europe with economic assistance to help rebuild economies after the end of World War II (WWII). Note that this poster apparently won the 5th prize in a poster design contest
