A Linenbacked Belgian Special Poster (measures 29" x 43 1/2" [74 x 110 cm]) (Learn More) Fetes Des Jeunesses Socialistes (literally translates to "Socialist Youth Festivals"), the 1928 Belgian poster promoting a youth-oriented political event to take place in Brussels, Belgium from August 4th to the 6th. Note that this poster features art of a nude man pulling a rope. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: C.D. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears, pinholes and paper loss around the edges with paper loss in the top center of the poster that affects two of the letters in that area. It also had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and some creases and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. A talented restorer did a really nice job with this poster. It now displays really well and most of the defects described above have been well disguised, but you can see slight signs of them and of the restoration. Learn More about condition grades
