An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) The Black Scorpion, the 1957 Edward Ludwig Mexico City giant scorpion science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("We defy you not to get a genuine case of the horrors when you see 'The Black Scorpion'"; "Black -- so you can't see him until he's ready to get you! Bloodless -- That's why he wants yours!"; "Uncut! Shown exactly as filmed!"; "Don't be ashamed to scream! It helps relieve the tension!"; "We urge you not to panic or bolt from your seats!"; "Every horror you've seen on the screen grows pale beside the horror of 'The Black Scorpion'"; "He'll get you - scared stiff!"; "NOTE: The management reserves the right to put up the lights any time the audience becomes too emotionally disturbed!"; "Shown Uncut! Every terror exactly as filmed"; "Don't be afraid to scream! It helps relieve the tension!"; "Story by Paul Yawitz"; special effects by Willis O'Brien in his last credited film) starring Richard Denning, Mara Corday, Carlos Rivas, Mario Navarro, and Carlos Muzquiz. Note that (apparently to save money!) the movie is set in Mexico City, which allowed the producers to hire an almost completely Mexican cast, no doubt at far lower salaries than that of their Hollywood counterparts! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Gustav Rehberger Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: good. The poster has tape stains, creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges and there are a few creases scattered in various areas. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
