eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3p1263 NOT EXACTLY GENTLEMEN LC 1931 Victor McLaglen & fellow outlaws on horses, ultra rare! Date Sold 1/17/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Not Exactly Gentlemen, the 1931 Benjamin Stoloff romantic love triangle cowboy western (a complicated story of three outlaws who set out to rob a wagon train, but other outlaws try to rob it first, and they stop those outlaws, planning on robbing it afterwards, but a pretty woman from the wagon train thinks they are heroes, and once they learn she has a gold mine out west, they play along, even trying to get her to marry one of them, so they can steal her gold mine!) starring Victor McLaglen, Fay Wray, Lew Cody, Eddie Gribbon, Robert Warwick. Note that this is a very confusing movie! It is a remake of John Ford's 1926 movie "3 Bad Men", but the IMDb says that it was released as "Three Rogues", and that "Not Exactly Gentlemen" is an "undefined title", but we think it is much more likely that "Not Exactly Gentlemen" is the 1931 release title and that "Three Rogues" was used on some re-release. We have only ever had a 1931 release one-sheet, lobby card, and four stills, and all have the title "Not Exactly Gentlemen", which certainly backs up our theory! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a one-sheet, a lobby card, a herald, and four stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this second lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. Someone's name is written in pencil at lower right (it does not appear to be the signature of anyone related to this movie). There is light rippling across the top border, due to exposure to moisture, but it is more "felt" than seen. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
