Date Sold 7/27/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 7 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Twelve Miles Out, the 1927 Jack Conway silent bootlegging alcohol smuggling crime romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play by William Anthony McGuire"; John Gilbert is a bootlegger during Prohibition who, together with Ernest Torrence, smuggles alcohol into the U.S. by boat; he steals the boat of Joan Crawford when she is on it, and she falls in love with him, and there is much fighting between Gilbert and Torrence over her) starring John Gilbert, Ernest Torrence, Joan Crawford (right after she co-starred in "The Unknown", and even though she is the romantic lead, she is still third billed!), Eileen Percy, and Paulette Duval NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the still pictured at upper left has a newspaper clipping on back (see below) that is stamped "Jan 10 1936" when the still was used to advertise a 1936 re-release of the film, however, the still itself is stamped "Jul 18 1927" on the back from when the movie was first released. Condition: good to very good. The still pictured at upper left has many creases and crop marks scattered throughout and the newspaper clipping in which the still was used is glued to the back.
