Edward Sutherland silent newspaper journalism romantic crime comedy melodrama ("A laugh every minute"; "What a comedy!"; about the daughter of a rich man who gets her a job in the newspaper where he spends lots of money advertising, and she is shown the ropes by the son of the editor, who is a reporter, and they break an important corruption case wide open) starring Bebe Daniels, Neil Hamilton, William Austin, Wheeler Oakman, and Charles Sellon. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Danish poster, and that was 11 years ago. That poster has now been reconsigned to us, so it is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! The unnamed Danish artist who created this poster did some really cool work in the top background area. Not only is there a flying bat, spider webs, and a black cat, but those three crooks are walking in a most unusual fashion! I wonder what all that is about! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had minor wear on the folds and tears and faint smudges in the left and right borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
