Note that this poster features geometric art by Ernst Aufseeser. Aufseeser was a German painter, illustrator, graphic designer and educator from the 1900s to 1940. His design work included trademarks, stamps, book covers, typography, posters and textiles If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Ernst Aufseeser Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never machine folded, but it has a slightly diagonal fold a few inches from the top of the poster, and another running through part of the title. It has some stains in the top blank area, with some creases and smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
