Date Sold 7/27/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 12 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Wife Savers, the 1928 Ralph Cedar silent romantic marriage screwball comedy ("Based on Florentz Zeigfeld's 'Louie XIV' by Arthur Wimperis, from the German of Paul Frank and Julius Wilhelm") starring Wallace Beery, Raymond Hatton, Zasu Pitts, Sally Blane, and Tom Kennedy. Note that in 1926, Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton appeared in "Behind the Front", and the public loved the comic antics of this very large man with this very small man, and they went on to make a series of similar movies, including this one. They were so popular that there was also an imitation series of similar movies starring Karl Dane and George K. Arthur.
