An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 28" x 34" [71 x 86 cm]) (Learn More) The Technical Air Intelligence Center was an evaluation unit formed in mid-1944, comprising U.S. Navy personnel withdrawn from other departments. By the end of 1945 the TAIUs (Technical Air Intelligence Units) had completed their search of the Japanese mainland and other territories and gathered together examples of Japanese military aircraft at Yokohama Naval Base. They also produced technical schematics of the aircraft. General Hap Arnold ordered the preservation of four of every type of aircraft used by the enemy forces.
