Note that this poster features the names of several artists whose works could be seen at the gallery. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some wear on the folds and there was once a snipe over the date at lower right, when it was obviously reused after the original year. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Also, the poster was roughly handled, and there are now small creases along the top edges of the poster, where the excess linen was partially bent. Learn More about condition grades
