An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) What Price Glory, the 1926 Raoul Walsh silent World War I (WWI) United States Marine Corps (USMC) military romantic love triangle comedy ("The World's Greatest Motion Picture"; "From the stage triumph by Laurence Stallings and Maxwell Anderson"; a very gritty tale of two Marines who keep fighting for the same pretty woman, and the movie showed a very realistic view of Marines that outraged censors and made the movie a major success, and it spawned two sequels where McLaglen and Lowe played the same characters, "Cock-Eyed World" and "Women of All Nations") starring Edmund Lowe, Victor McLaglen, Dolores Del Rio, William V. Mong, Phyllis Haver, "And a Superb Cast". Note that the world premiere program for this movie mentions that "18 of the 40 men now alive who went into Belleau Woods during the famous battle appear in the movie". It also mentions that "85% of the men playing soldiers in this movie are actual war veterans who fought overseas" and that "every gun, cannon, grenade and other implement of war used" in the movie were actually used in World War I!
