An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2") (Learn More) Menschen im Kafig (released in the U.S. as "Love Storm" and released in other English-speaking countries as "Cape Forlorn"), the 1930 E.A. Dupont English (although the film is in German) romantic love triangle melodrama (based on the play by Frank Harvey; about a lighthouse keeper who marries a dance hall girl, and she has an affair with his handsome young assistant; the wife kills a man, and the assistant takes the blame and goes to jail for her, and she leaves her husband and becomes a dance hall girl again, waiting for her love to be released from jail) starring Tala Birell, Fritz Kortner, Heinrich George, Conrad Veidt (very early in his career and in a minor role), and Julius Brandt. Note that this movie was made in simultaneous English and German versions. The German version starred the above actors and was called "Menschen im Kafig". The English version starred Fay Compton, Frank Harvey, and Ian Hunter, and was released in England as "Cape Forlorn" and in the U.S. as "The Love Storm". They are exactly the same movies, except for the language difference and the different cast (this is very similar to the 1931 U.S. and Mexican versions of "Dracula").
