Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two humans on the Moon. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, landed the lunar module Eagle on July 20th, 1969. Astronaut Micheal Collins piloted the command module Columbia alone in lunar orbit while they were on the Moon's surface. Broadcast on live TV to a worldwide audience, Armstrong stepped onto the lunar surface and described the event as "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Apollo 11 effectively ended the Space Race and fulfilled the U.S. national goal proposed in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy. Note that there were several guest commentators to the broadcast, including Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke!

Important Added Info: Note that in the past we have auctioned several similar special posters on thicker card stock but this poster is not that poster. This poster has writing at lower right (and no writing at upper right that the other poster has) and has a lesser image quality (the signatures are, of course, within the printing). Please do not bid thinking that this is the "regular" special poster on card stock as this is likely a commercial poster (unlike that poster this poster can be rolled with other posters).

Condition: good to very good. The poster has a slightly lesser image quality (see above) but is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
