An Autographed 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" [8 x 13 cm] Cut Album Page (glued to a piece of paper that measures 4 1/2" x 6") (Learn More) Edward Everett Hale was an author, historian, and clergyman from the 1840s to the 1900s. He was the grand-nephew of Revolutionary War spy Nathan Hale! He is best known for writing "The Man Without a Country" in 1863, in support of the Union in the Civil War. He passed away in 1909 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Edward Everett Hale! It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that eMoviePoster.com originally auctioned this in 2019, and the person who purchased it has reconsigned it to us now. It is from a wonderful collection of items that were assembled by a collector decades ago, mostly from RR Auctions, which has auctioned signed items since 1976. The person who purchased these items passed away several years ago, and while he did not save most of the certificates of authenticity he received when he bought these signed items, almost all were purchased between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, and we think it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is genuine. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good. The signature is on a small sheet of paper, which has been lightly glued onto a larger sheet of paper (it could easily be removed). Learn More about condition grades
