Some might say that it is "over the top", but people really felt that their "liberty" was on the line during World War I! Artist: Charles Raymond Macauley Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed in two different sizes, and we have only previously auctioned one example of this 30x40 version of this poster, and it sold for $452! The person who bought it had it linenbacked and restored and has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example of this size we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tears, faint stains and some small paper loss along portions of the edges, with only a small amount affecting the blue border, and none of it affecting the wonderful image. There were a few faint stains scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
